I started playing roughly a week ago. Yesterday I finally decided to do some boss killing and finished off the Elder. Google told me I need to go looking for a swamp next. I set sail and find an island with some swamp land. For grins I decide to explore the coast just to see what else the island has to offer. There happens to be a plains area right next to it. I know nothing of this game, so I venture on. Turns out Deathsquito isn't just a charming name for the first enemy I encounter.
I'm respawned at the camp I forgot I set up right next to the Elder. Completely naked. No equipment. 2 islands worth of water between me and my home base.
Long story short and 2 hours later I'm finally home. That was the most disheartening thing to happen to me in a game in a long time, but also the most rewarding feeling once done. This game rules, and I'm glad I found it.
This happened on day 69.
