Food for thought – Terrain Procedural Generation

Maypoles, Flower/Berry Spawns, & Seed Crops should increase honey yield.

Every single map looks the same in some way. Just a bunch of islands with some water in between. Don't get me wrong, I love the game and have 500 hours on the clock.

But I'd love to have a world generation menu where you could choose what ratio for land/water in order to either create smaller islands amidst huge oceans, or large continents with some rivers and a couple seas (where all the adventure could be achieved on foot. It could also be all land with some rivers.

There are some random map, cities or dungeon generators online where you can select various options, like how many rivers, how wide, how many settlements, biome sizes, ect… So something alike in nature.

I guess you get my point. I would absolutely love to have an all land adventure where each biome could be as large as 2 islands. Imagine a swamp so big that it would cover 20% of the map!

Would be amazing as well if the farther away you got from the center, the higher probability you'd have to find creatures outside of their original biome, like a Fuling camp on a mountain top with no possibility to shoot them from far for lack of visibility, or Troll caves in the Swamps…

It could be a menu like in the Ark settings, where you could tweak the options to your liking.
