So with the new update that made it so elite perks weren't voided when using a stim, there's a good side effect of this, and a bad side effect of this.
On the good side, if you boost over 51 in some skill, you now get the elite perk benefits! It wont show on the skills screen, but for something like perception you'll get the sphere of visibility, and for attention you'll get the 50% chance to insta-search a container.
Bad side though, is that now if you boost a skill over 51, you won't receive any skill points in it for the rest of the raid.
Reported it to BSG, but if the issue of getting no xp could get fixed, then I can really see a lot of stims in general getting a lot more use outside of the normal combat ones. Still happy it doesn't void your elites at least, stupid as hell dying to thirst/hunger with elite metabolism.
