Just need to get this off my chest.
Wanted to get one last evac run in before I call it a day. I boost out of Tranquillity (as one does…) and on my way through the mail slot I hit what I thought was an NPC in what looked like an Asp Explorer. I rip through their shields and they explode. I get killed by security and think nothing of it (except that something like that has never happened to me before, as reckless a flyer as I am).
A minute later I leave the detention center and just by chance look at my player encounters list. It was a Commander I accidentally killed after all. I feel awful. In my paranoid mind they just came back from an exploration tour out to Beagle Point and I have deprived them of their exploration credit and discovery money.
I send them a friend request so I can apologize but they decline it, probably rightfully so.
So if you read this, CMDR Itisjuu, I am so so sorry this happened.
