I died and I’m sad about it

I’m in a new world playing the mistlands test beta and have been playing nonstop.

I’m currently on the mountain biome and looking for a boss spawner. My search carried into the night and I knew this meant trouble was afoot. I’m confident in my skills so wolves and drakes don’t bother me, but this was different. I had already killed about 5 wolves, but they just kept coming.

I had a few close calls with some vicious bites, but I kept pressing on. I should’ve stopped there, but I was being greedy. I could smell the boss spawner.

3 wolves spot me before I can spot them and the chase is on. I shoot one with my bow and he is dazed. The other two bum rush me like two jacked up body builders at a protein convention. I drew my bow to fire but I missed the first shot. By the time I could pull out frostner one wolf bite me. After the first swing only wounded them, the second had lunged its teeth so deep I could see the gates of Valhalla.

No portal for miles and all my boats at ports far away. I think I’ll take a break for a few days. Don’t get too cocky
