Im pretty sure that draft is suffering from the same issues as before, which is that people are still just paying the 150 ore to get as busted of a deck as they can and then rushing through to 7 wins. With draft you can get an even more broken version of a lot of tier 1 decks that you can't really play around. Today I considered myself lucky to draft a passiflora scenario, went up against someone else who had two sieges in their deck. Just played someone else who had two whoreson juniors and two phillipas and a sigi in their deck while playing jackpot (keep in mind this means they were playing devotion, in draft). I don't blame people for exploiting a system that's begging for it, the packages make it so easy to make a synergistic deck that you can have all the thinning, all the good golds and easily meet deckbuilding conditions like devotion while having way more provisions in your deck than a normal one.
I really wanted to like draft, but I hate to say its way more janky than arena was.
