I'm just curious what others opinions are on Valve's recent matchmaking. I have not had a good game in almost a week (22 games that I have counted in a row with someone brand new under account level 10) I keep trying to be welcoming and help/give tips but at a certain point I don't want every game to be one team rolling over the other. In my last 22 games I've won 14 and lost 8 and the team that wins is just whoever isn't on a team with the new player.
My personal opinion is that Valve is trying too hard to keep queues as short as possible that they have just given up on actually matching people of similar skill levels. I feel bad for the new players because it makes it that much more frustrating trying to learn while going 0/16/3 every game because you're getting put with people with 5k plus hours, and on the other side it's taking its toll on the people at higher levels because it's just not fun anymore when every game is a roll with one lane just being completely one sided.
Wondering if other have had a similar experience recently with this happening as consistently as it has for me and what peoples opinions are of current matchmaking. (I know ranked is an option but it's cavern crawl season and I'm not subjecting people in ranked queue to me doing that)
