Is it better for me to restart or should i rebuild my ship

just read the second edit, this is all confusing

ok so heres context, my save is somewhat far from the system im in, in distance yea, well i have no idea on how far i am as i haven't touched the game in about 2 weeks due to burn out and not finding courier jobs,

or any easy job i can do as i don't have the stuff for combat, and want to get into mining instead seeing all of the success people have, Xbox player btw so i dont have whatever that other thing was calledalso im low on credits so im just guessing that its a lost cause at this point but might be able to recover, if im not in federation airspace with that sidewinder

Edit: made it a bit more better with more context as that is what i usually forget

Edit 2: restart due to my current situation which is kinda in a place where i cant save it OR try to save it and then get back to the populated zone/starting area outside the actual starting area (i can tell this is gonna get more confusing)

Edit 3, made it to a system that has a station, but that question still remains tho
