Hey everyone, long-time Tarkov Diehard here.
So I recently had to take a break from Tarkov, IRL things came up and I couldn't play at all this wipe. Recently I decided to get back into it, and I played for the last two days. Probably 80% of my raids were utterly EMPTY. And I mean no PMCS, no Scav players, nothing. It was a complete ghost town every single raid, I found myself bored after about 4 hours of playing trying to find people, auto servers, west coast, east coast, googling popular servers, you name it. I tried everything to find some more players. I started asking some people and their response was, "Ya, Tarkov is dead".
Is Tarkov coming to its end, has endless waves of bugs, hackers, and gameplay issues finally succumbed to the average Tarkov player?
I loved this game with a passion. This game was the game I could find myself playing for 12-plus hours a day in my prime. Grinding to get Kappa, killing Killa 100 times, labs, questing, sherpa-ing for new players. There was so much to do in this game. I'm sad to see it so empty and bare. This game had so much potential to be something amazing. Does anyone remember the goal of Tarkov when it was first released? To be one giant map with no stash every raid, you go to your stash IN-GAME. To have endless content and a polished shooter with few bugs? I don't blame anyone for quitting the game, I understand more than anyone. 20+ minutes to find lobbies to get KO'd by a hacker or die to some bug. Tabbing in and out of your menu just to plant a quest item to get clapped by someone hearing you tab in. Scavs spawning beside you, grenades landing beside you without making a single sound, your gun being stuck in half ADS so you can't shoot it, your hands being stuck at their sides. Trust me, I've seen it all.
I'm not even sure why I'm posting this thread, I guess to hear if anyone else is as sad as I am to see this game slowly losing its life 🙁 And yes I know this game gets a late wipe lull, but Tarkov has never had the competition it does today, and it's becoming increasingly more apparent.
