I lose many matches but I don't care. Yhere are so many ways to play this game. So many effects that some cards have. And you can learn from every enemy. The cards, approach, tactics… It's impossible to always win or have the perfect deck for the most villain opponent.
That's the mood I enter every match. Just like a moment ago when I decided to go yolo and play a match of Double Down. I faced a cultist player and I instantly knew where it was going… me getting rekt
First round was a miraculous win with some healers, boosters & lyrian scythemen. Which subsequently boosted a lot cuz I had many boosted in the same row. Idk how I won, the opponent probably took easy on me.
Second round they dropped some cards in and before I knew it they were so far ahead with so little cards played I just passed. Let's go all in on the third round.
Third round more and more cultists. Boosting every turn. Some were in the 10, 20 points, or even 30. They were 100 points ahead of me and my silly boosting squad lol. I had some healers again, boosters and Keldar, who conveniently spawned some trainee witchers. These are two power each, so it didn't look like a threat. But what the opponent did not know was I had drawn my secret weapon: Geralt's Yrden Thanks RNG Gods
I waited till the board was full and they were fully dependant on boosting cultists. Almost all cards were played – and the excess cards were discarded cuz of no space on the board. They were still miles ahead and probably already doing a victory dance. Untill I played my first Yrden on the melee row and reset the power of their melee row. Boom, their score dropped. Hard. They were still ahead. Was it over yet? Would they win with 10 points difference and praise themselves lucky? Nu-uh! Another Yrden card was created and I reset their ranged row as well!
The victory dance belongs to me β plenty of times it doesn't but this time it does. Feels good. πΊπ»π
