So, i wanted to tell a story of mine which happened quite recently.
I was a poor poor noob in the game just getting started checking inara for trade routes and trying to run them, it was going very bad, routs were barely profitable(because i was playing 3.8 and routes were for 4.0, i didn't know that at the time), so after countless horrifying hours of gameplay i decide to trade silver only and sell it to Udihikoja as it was best selling price there. I completed one and many trading runs, and it was going great, until i saw with ingame tools that one of the nearest systems to Udihikoja(BPM 45047, it's a mining system and it was in industrial collapse state) was selling EVERYTHING for dirt cheap(including gold and silver), i didn't believe it at first, but decided to try it out anyways, there i was, charging my FSD, thinking about how i could finally get my cutter to go and make billions with mining, and when i arrived, there it was, i could buy the gold for 4.568 CR and silver for 3.542 CR and sell it in Udihikoja for 48.326/44.429 respectively, tears of joy were cried as i fully loaded my type 7, i made tens of millions and finally bought me a type 9 and each run it was around 40 million, i made till i had 500M i was happy. These days there are normal prices, but still, it was a wonderful experience for sure.
TLDD: Bought minerals dirt cheap and sold them, got rich. Thanks ingame tools.
