Mining Ships

Hey folks,

What do you all consider when shopping for a new ship to deep core mine with?

I’m starting to think the most important part is more Optional Internal slots, as a mining vessel needs bare minimum a Refinery/Collector/Prospector/Surface Scanner/Cargo Rack(s) in its Optional Internal.

I’m doing well in my cobra mklll, and I’ve got about 60million credits saved. I have to decide between a type-9 heavy, a Python, or the AspExp for my next deep core mining vessel, unless I’ve overlooked a better option as a newer player.

I dunno, the type-9 would be perfect but it’s slow & sluggish from what I’ve read.

Should I keep saving for a better ship, or go with either the AspEx, Python or Type-9 heavy?
