This has probably been discussed before but it really ticked me off more so than anything in Odyssey today when I learned about it so I wanted to share my constructive thoughts.

My personal thoughts (copy/paste from the thread):
I'm sorry Frontier, but not having the option to (at a bare minimum!) remove upgrades arguably damages gameplay more so than it encourages. I love the addition of Loadouts for suits and weapons (would love one for ships too!) but I don't understand why I am being punished for wanting to experiment with different engineering mods in the same way we experiment with ship loadouts. When modding ships, having the ability to swap modules while being able to sell the back at the same retail price has enabled players to focus on gameplay and experimentation rather than grinding.
We're already having to grind massively to bring a suit or weapon to grade 5, but if I want a slightly differently engineered suit for a specific mission I have to grind to G5 all over again and then buy engineering mods again?! Why?! Why is grinding considered more valuable gameplay than experimentation? It's very likely that most people will not even attempt to go beyond the 3 suits or 1 of each weapon simply because of this ridiculous grind cost and it truly is a shame!
Currency (materials, credits, etc) in ED for many people is a means to an end – it enables players to play the game as they want.
Please allow for engineering mods on Suits and Weapons to be removed / replaced so we can engage in richer gameplay and experiment more rather than grind. If you really want to be stellar, we should be allowed to craft mods and store them as we do with ship modules. If I grind for a rifle scope, there's no reason why that mod cannot be taken off the weapon and applied elsewhere. Let's be sensible about players time.
