i had an idea today that i know is likely impossible, but i wanted to get community thoughts about it, just out of curiosity. i tried a quick google search and didn't come across any results mentioning anything similar.
if there was an official elite dangerous companion mobile app, what kind of features would/should it have?
off the top of my head the first thing i thought of (and what got me thinking about this in the first place), would be
remote purchase and transfer of ships and modules. so for example, i could purchase a ship and modules while i was on my lunch break at work, transfer them all to my chosen station, and after the specified transfer time (or when i get home from work, IRL terms) i can build the ship and get to playing. maybe the transfer time can be extended or premium cr fees added to sort of counterbalance the fact that you're not doing it in the actual game. another thing i thought of while writing this is a mobile codex/galnet database, thought i know there are existing unofficial sources for stuff like that.
again, this is all completely hypothetical and wouldnt likely ever become a reality, especially since there are far more important things frontier should be working on. but i just wanted to hear others' thoughts and opinions on how something like this might work.
