Hello all,
Many of us seem concerned about Balance Council becoming a nonsensical back and forth that gets nothing accomplished. I think it’s important we brainstorm about how we should be avoiding this.
In recent events, we watched several rollbacks happen- and rather quickly, despite the smaller selection on pool, at that. A large part of the community wasn’t happy with them.
I have two suggestions that may discourage or prevent this type of behavior:
Firstly, if Balance Council straight up prevented the immediately prior changes from being options. Whether that be both buffs and nerfs, both options of the nerf or buff, or specifically the power/ prov nerf/ buff that was voted for is up for discussion. This would force us, as the players, to spend more time adapting and evaluating if the card is fair where it sits. This would also force the community to consider other nerfs and buffs while waiting to revert if that’s what they choose to do. Obviously after the second season, the change could be reverted if truly necessary.
Another option could potentially be requiring BC requirements to have x wins with each faction in order to vote. Anywhere between 5 and 8 would be fair in my book and then people would be required to know how it feels to play as other factions against the changed cards as well.
TLDR: Constant reverts aren’t okay and we should either prevent them from immediately happening or make people play other factions.
I figured I would open a discussion for this.
