I ran into this issue when I used my Bi-Weave Hybrid Krait MkII in an AX fight. I accidentally toggled silent running, knocking out my shields, so I tried to bring them back to 50% with a reboot.
Rebooting did not restore my shields at all. I have read a few posts saying that cold reboot doesn't always restore your shield to 50%, and I was wondering if there are conditions?
If it helps, I boosted, toggled FA-off, and coasted out of range of the interceptor before rebooting. I have heard that rebooting at speed prevents the shields from regenerating, which I guess makes sense so it can't be exploited during PvP, but I haven't found any definitive information on this. Does anyone know for sure how this mechanic works? Has anyone tested this?
I have since switched to an unshielded build, since my tactics rely heavily on FA-off boosting after destroying a heart.
TLDR: Reboot not restoring shields to 50%, and I think it's speed related. Need confirmation.
