I made a mistake with the title, this is a question not a suggested fit.
I've got a friend who's been wanting to delve a bit more into combat as a newbie and really likes shield capacity. I'm not too well versed with shields and shield cell banks but I did come up with this unengineered fit:
They're not quite there yet with engineers and I doubt they'll stay long enough in the game to delve into it apart from FSD engineering (which I've already taken them through due to their curiosity in exploration). Any other recomendations for an easily set up shield tank focused small ship would be appreciated – nothing that would be too strenous on rebuy.
- AFMU cuz pirates sometimes have phasing weapons and the huge glass canopy on gutamaya ships (and small ships in general) gets blown up way too often.
- All gimballed weapons is non-negotiable sorry.
- This is the first time I've made a fit with an enhanced performance thruster but the maxed laden mass and optimized mass is pretty close: 90 – 105 tonnes, so it should still be relatively reasonable I hope. Also because Felicity Farseer is the only engineer my friend has unlocked (and maxed repped).
