Back for a couple weeks now and getting my space legs back under me, but I had a question about the community goals system.
I jumped into Cemiess with my new, but not well set up yet, anaconda to do some community goal bounty hunting and was immediately set upon with an interdict. Zero chance to evade, one ship attacking me, I launched fighter, boosted, used chaff and all my shield cells and still BARELY was able to get back to super cruise (7A bi weave, shield was down to 10%).
hardly 30 seconds later, still have not even made it to the space port yet, and was set upon again, this time by two fighters. zero chance, shield still at like 20% to start, and was destroyed in under 15 seconds..
am i missing something here? is the zone just kinda known as the place to go for pvp or something? I had nothing in cargo, and really had no chance against either opponent(s) as my conda is new and still only moderately engineered and not fully set up yet… plus I have not done any pvp since return.
before I left a couple years ago, those areas were usually gathering places for players that were generally friendly towards each other and anyone could usually find a random wing to fly with for an hour or two.
and I'm okay with being killed, just not quite with the 25M current rebuy cost as I stretched to get it. but it forced me to go to solo play to do the community goal even tho it seems like a community goal should be… us working together as a community? plus its boring to play completely solo, i like the random encounters with other commanders, just that I can't afford it, at least not if that is the way it always is. Or did I just get really unlucky?
