First time ever yesterday stream sniped, while some feel that “this is the way” if you stream
It’s kinda left a weird feeling with me yet reinforced my belief that not all people have values
Pushed towards elbow in Customs, someone dropped my team mate and he never knew where it came from, so digging in I thought okay let’s take a minute and have a listen, rustling right and footsteps left, I knew now I’m getting pinched off a two man, I kill the guy who walks out of the push, then push left and kill footsteps guy.
Shots on me but they miss
There’s a third my TM says in discord, I’m in his stream
“Don’t give me any information” I respond.
What follows is a cat and mouse for ten minutes positioning, giving off sound to bait each other, I find a position and have a line of sight, I’m waiting and bang I am dead.
With no sound being given off, I felt it was ESP like knowledge, after my stream I check out the lads vod of his point of view, he doesn’t know where I am, he pauses for a good while, reads something then instinct blind fires my position, I watch further then the guys are laughing about stream sniping me
Why? What’s the value of this to people? I seem to be lacking some fundamental understanding of this or am I generation too late to the party and clean sporting conduct doesn’t exist anymore?
I have the clips, no I’m not going to share them and I’m not interested in reporting it, just trying to understand the difference between loosing fairly and gaining advantage unfairly.
Do you guys consider stream sniping to be as bad as cheating or using cheats?
Cheers, stay safe
