So, my idea with lox in the mistylands was a complete failure

Walheim: how to make delicious mead and what it is for

Everything started well. I have tamed three lox near my base in the mistylands. They didn't have to be transported by ship. I'm playing solo. Transported them to the base in the saddle one by one. And already at this stage something went wrong. Two managed to be transported, and the third died. This is my first mistake; I did not check his health and did not feed him.

Okay, a couple is not bad. I fed them and waited for the baby. Then I left this biome. Minding my own business. I planned to breed lox up to 6. I don't need meat and skins (I have a lox farm in the plains). I wanted them to guard the perimeter behind the wall.

I came back a few days later. I went to check the lox. They grew up, but scattered across the territory. While I was looking for them and under the saddle I tried to bring them back closer to the base, mobs began to spawn and attack. Naturally, Gjall arrived. I couldn't take all the aggro on myself, the first lox burned down.

The second lox was killed by the Seekers while I was trying to find him in the fog. I heard him screaming, but I run too late. I just didn't find the third one! I checked a huge territory, but he seemed to have fallen through the ground. Most likely he died and his meat and skin are lying somewhere in the fog.

What conclusion did I draw:

The lox hunt hares and roam the territory, where the seekers easily kill them one by one. They are strong if there are many of them. I think three lox next to each other would not be bad.

They are powerless against Gjall and burn very quickly. They need to be protected.

If there is only one lox, the tick sucks it out in seconds. He cannot reset it, and if there is no other lox nearby, he dies.

They broke my Wisp torches!

Lox are not a vital necessity for me, I just wanted someone to be with me in this dangerous biome.

Several Dvergr spawned in this area. One of them is a two-star Dvergr archer. I'm very worried about him. I would be happy to share bread with him so that he regains his health after the fight. So far he has managed to survive. I've lost my lox and I'll be very upset if he dies too.

If someone has a successful experience of breeding lox in the mistylands, please share. Under the open sky.

I apologize for my English, I used a translator.
