So I just bought the game recently after a while of being curious about the game and, while I have been enjoying the game play and setting, there are some things that have been bothering me and wanted to get the community perspective on it.
First of all, wow is the game expensive, for all the shade that reddit throws at complete AAA games with full campaigns and multiplayer for their pricing, I was surprised to see that this game costs the same as a AAA game here in Canada after conversion and the hidden taxes, and that is for the cheapest version of the game.
That leads into, how is it acceptable in a full price game to charge you extra for your stash and container size? Seriously, thats something I might see as ok if it was a free to play game, the the fact that I spent 70 dollars on the game for the smallest stash, and would have have to spend almost 220 dollars for the full size one is pretty annoying. Lets be honest, if Call of Duty told you that you have to buy the 220 dollar version of the game for full inventory size we would all be outraged, yet tarkov gets a pass
Which then leads into, how is it right to call a game that has been selling at more than full price for almost 5 years a BETA and excuse all the shortcomings as such? I look up an issue I have and get presented with years of blog posts about the same issue, so what exactly is the beta doing? Shouldn't there be more pressure about spending more development time getting the servers to a stable state, a tutorial, getting the game to an optimized state so that it uses 100% of your gpu instead of giving you 45 fps and only using 65% of your GPU? Instead it seems they're content to just keep making more levels and keeping the game in beta indefinitely.
Whats the argument? The game would be missing content? they've been selling a beta at full price for 5 years, how about first you finish the game and then add add the new levels? At this point it just seems like living with someone for 5 years as an exclusive couple yet saying youre "only friends", it's just an excuse for lack of commitment.
