I'm sorry, but bees are simply NOT consistent, and nobody can convince me otherwise. You can measure their placement with floor pieces, down to the pixel, and there'll always be one hive that is perpetually unhappy, no possible space anywhere in the pattern can possibly work no matter how many hours you fiddle and tear your hair out.
My personal favorite is the hive that's "happy" when placed, only to come back a day later with no honey and a bad disposition. What changed? Nothing was built around you, nothing around you moved, but now you're not happy anymore? You're BROKEN is what you are.
I'm sick and tired of messy-looking apiaries, but "irregular" seems to be the only shape you can place them in, no matter how hard you try.
They seriously need to just not let us place hives anywhere that they aren't happy. This is not fun, this is not a challenge, this merely frustrating to a MADDENING degree.
Is… is there a mod that just makes bees happy all the time? Because I'd seriously consider it at this point. I used to be on board but I've been abused too much at this point, staring at a hive dead-center of a wide-open space 2x as far from anything at all than any of its (perfectly happy) neighbors, yet still "needs more space". Like, on the frickin' moon? Would you be happy then, you vile insects?
