The Dota communication report is ruining the game

I have been playing DOTA for years – since Warcraft 3 in fact. I always liked the game but the new changes make it now absolutely rubbish. The dev. are not focusing on the real problem and try to find issues that make it annoying for the users instead of solving the real issues.

The reports for communication abuse are completely useless and do not change anything to the game behavior – and in fact, in my opinion, just make it worst.
I get that there are multiple toxic players but I never cared. If someone can't stand some internet insult while playing a game, then Dota might be too old for them and should stick to Mario Bros maybe.
Now for every game, I need to 'unmute' the players that have been reported – instead of giving me the option of allowing them to talk. Super annoying. And if you forget to do so – then you might miss some team exchange that ruin the game.
It's now impossible to win a game if half the team can't call the shots. It's basically playing a game with AI bots that just do their things.
This also brings the problem that everyone just gives up as soon as they lose a game – as they have no connection with the rest of the team, or the game. They buy shadow amulets and go hide in wood – or just farm far from the battle.

I have seen hundreds of games where people insults each other early game – keep playing and stop the insults and finally focus together on the game ending – resulting in a fun game at the end.

I would much prefer having to deal with players insulting each other and raging over their keyboard while playing, then to have a bunch of grapes just giving up after 10min of play because they have no connection and do not care about the game and go afk.

The real problem are not the toxic chats. If dota is the way for some players to release their frustration – so be it – but at least do not make it so easy to ruin games like this with no repercussion.

Let people have the choice if they want to mute toxic players that have been reported – and create a button report for game ruining toxicity (AFK in wood, ability abuse, etc.) a lot more direct and easy to see the results – with a real punishment (not just 1 low prio game)
