This games balance is confusing

I’m kind of new/returning to gwent I played beta and obviously it’s a lot lot different since then worse in my opinion but adapt or die right it’s enjoyable nonetheless

Any way I’m just playing around in training watching YouTube videos of other playing etc and it just seems certain build are excessively better than other I’m coming up against guys and they play a card and like 4 pop up and then another 4 and then like 5 different things are attacking my units for massive damage in a matter of just 4 turns and with most other builds even ones I’m copying from apparent master players just get slayed they just can’t kill/ lock/ these builds fast enough.

It’s so deflating especially since there seems to be no way of getting advice from people you can’t even talk to the players you come up against to humbly ask hey how in the world did you come up with that formation ?

Anyway like a lot of online games it just sucks these days that you can’t pair up with people your level and gradually learn you just have to take your beatings from these crazy builds and then go back erase your deck and try again or delete the game cause who wants to just keep losing and never progress
