Thoughts on Fenris armor and the Yagluth Boss Fight?

fictional character

TLDR: I love fenris armor, and found it to be very good in the yagluth fight, especially for a (mostly) blind player. What are your thoughts on fenris armor and the yagluth fight?

So, just today I beat Yagluth for the first time in my "mostly blind" playthrough which is basically I searched some stuff up but I tried not to blitz through too much info, one thing being Yagluth's abilities.

However, I did end up finding out about a lot of "broken" strategies and cheeses to the game, which is an instant turn off for me. So as you might expect, the last time I build a portal was probably ~300 in game days ago, I never even crafted frostner, Tried porcupine but it just felt terrible, mainly because it doesn't oneshot greydwarfs. Never crafted root armor, never crafted troll armor (this playthrough), and I am currently in love with fenris armor.

For the plains biome fenris is pretty bad, mainly because deathsquitos often stagger you so you can't even kill them after they hit you. However, for the Yagluth fight it was honestly a lifesaver. The game does a horrible job telling you that you should bring barley wine to the fight, and besides, the extra movement speed felt very welcome for dodging all of yagluths stuff.

I see a lot of people on this sub probably obliterated their set of fenris, or just stuffed it in a chest to be forgotten. But I absolutely love the movement speed and the look! I find it is generally on the weak side but its not terrible, if iron gate gave it a small buff I would absolutely make it my main set of armor. Does anyone else enjoy fenris armor, or did you all sit on your root armor until you maxed out padded armor?

Took a screenshot of my inventory after I ran all the way home with the most important items from the boss fight.
