Is anyone else feeling like this season is a slog? I’m at Rank 1 and it took me far more games to get here than usual.
Forget about playing midrange. The level of control you need in this meta is insane.
It feels like unintended synergies have emerged this season and it makes the game feel unwieldy.
Examples:
Truffle and Druids (Truffle may as well be a second scenario in Alchemy decks)
Calvaet and Kolgrim (no need to clog when you can play out your cards in round 1 and have Calveat draw Kolgrim, Fion, and Letho Round 2)
KOB and Jackpot (we all know that interaction)
Double Kelly graveyard hijinks (have answers for Defender and Kelly TWICE or lose)
Teching against all these to climb efficiently isn’t possible, so we all go super greedy. After 4 months making it to pro with my Madoc Reince deck, i had to retire it and turn to SY to climb
The game feels way more adversarial than before. Just me?
