Week 5 powers stats update and discussion

I updated the spreadsheet that I've been maintaining since week 2 with all the stats from week 5:

As you can see, Arissa Lavigny-Duval is the power with the greatest income, most controlled and exploited systems. But this expansion came at a price. It is the only power with upkeep and overhead costs growing exponentially, that means that their expansions were not chosen wisely.

Income vs. upkeep shows pretty clearly that Torval started a recession phase, due to overexpanding too. Economically, the Alliance is the power with the best grow rate. Good news for Winters too, which recovered from a small recession week.
