I’ll go first: THERE IS A MATCHMAKING SYSTEM IN PLACE. Before you roast me, let me explain. It has nothing to do with “hidden MMR”, levels, or gear. It’s directly linked to your tasks and keys.
For example: I play loothouse a lot. I mean, a lot a lot. I love the map. From the loot, to the PvP, everything about it I love. I constantly use to walk by merins car. Wether to pass by or just rotate around the map. There is more cover and generally less foot traffic. Merins car was NEVER opened. Always locked(yes, I usually walk by and check with curser). The second I found a merin key barter for 4 GPUs and added it to my SICC case, it’s been a living nightmare to even get close to the car. So many PMCs rushing the area to try to open it. Even when I have the spawn closest to it, I open it, go to move on, and instantly hear people running towards it. Never fails. Not convinced, yet? Let’s talk about the next key.
RB-ST. The bane of many existence for tasks on reserve. I actually found it early, but due to its popularity at the time, I never brought it in. Figured I’d just wait till late in raid to go do my tasks cause someone was bound to eventually open for me, right? A whole week goes by of playing reserve off and on. Never once have I found it opened(yes I walked up to check). The first raid, and I mean the first fucking raid, I slid that key in my asshole, magically the door was already unlocked. Even died after grabbing my objective, so went in for the second raid B2B, guess what? It was opened. Fuck that.
Still not convinced? Dorms marked key. I struggled so long trying to get it marked. Even tried VOIPING random PMCs to see if they had the key to help. No one ever had it. It was never opened. For two weeks, I never ONCE seen it opened. I finally got one and it’s been a literal bloodbath every marked room run I’ve made. Everyone and their momma rushing to open it up, or if I get there late, it’s opened. My buddy struggled to do his jaeger dorms kills, until I tagged along with him with the key up my ass. Magically the PMCs came rolling in and he got it done in a few raids, despite working on it all day.
