Well I must say that the current event is the most fun I've had playing this game so far. Granted, I've only been playing for about 18 months. I won't delve into the golden days of Kickstarter money and lavish CG rewards from years ago, but it is currently a rocking good time.
So I was wondering, what is the future of this game? I can't say if another DLC will come out or not. But assuming that there is more to come, it strikes me that they are following a DLC pattern. Base game was space. Horizons you had to land on planets. Odyssey has to land on planets with atmosphere. So in my mind the next DLC will involve landing somewhere we currently cannot land, as that seems to be the method of delineation that they have chosen for DLC content.
I guess this leads me to think that whatever the content, it will be based on landing on a planet that we currently cannot land on, perhaps water or earth-like worlds.
But then again .. they could also make one or more of the permit locked areas a new DLC by issuing that permit to anyone who buys it, perhaps with thargoid motherships and new engineers.
What say you as to possible future content in Elite Dangerous, fair and wise Commander? o7
