What’s even the point of scav karma

6.01 Fence rep here.

This wipe I don't see almost any value in having high scav Karma or trying to farm it.

  1. The crown shop from Fence is sparse and underwhelming/overly expensive. The only reason to level it would be good ammo for cheap, but at this stage of the wipe it's bought out very quickly, and most of that reliable ammo is anyway available to me from other vendors.
  2. Average scav bag is not that different from 0.00 rep. Sure, you can get occasional labs cards, but I have about 20+ of them unused in my inventory because lab is far from reliable for farming purposes.
  3. A lot of bosses are still aggressive towards you. I have not tested this extensively, only by means of stumbling upon those cases. However, someone like Tagilla or Killa will still act aggressively towards you. No fancy "let's cooperate" like it was for last patch.
  4. And the most annoying one for me: while trying to be a good scavvy boy, you suffer from a lot of low level randos killing you just for the sake of it. A fight lost is better than a fight not given.

I see quite a bit of value in adding variety to Fence quests – good FIR items relevant for quests and Kappa, a bit of extra Euro every now and then. Right now I would spend more on re-rolling the garbanzo ones like "Kill a PMC with melee weapons for 200eur" type of stuff.

Perhaps yall could share some of your reasons for levelling the karma?
