I know, I know, literally everything that can be said about the topic has been told, both from fdev, and the community.
So I'm not here do discuss if i am right or somebody else is wrong, I just want to point out something: Odyssey right now feels kinda awkward, and I do not mean like… ugly or messy, it just seems like something detached from the game itself. You land on a planet or in a spaceport, fade to black, then you are out of the ship, how is this not breaking the immersion? My point is that all of this feels A LOT like another game, like if ED and odyssey are two separate applications. It's not good and it's not something that I would like to consider "definitive" in the ED experience: wouldn't it be nicer if, when selecting "disembark" the seat would move (to not implement the free movement) in something like an elevator, then transfer you on the surface/SRV seat with a 1:1 transition? Imho would save resources by not implementing the FULL ship, but still it could be a nice animation.
Again, I'm not here to judge or say who is wrong and who is right, but I think that this could be a really nice bargain and I would be ok with this, see you in the dark Commanders, o7
