I went into the Black Forest, armed with the knowledge of "duck trolls by dodging," and while he was bashing around the copper mine, he also happened to smash this big fir that HAPPENED to be over the entrance to a burial chamber, which the troll also smashed. Had to kill what came out as well as the troll! But, what did I find? FIVE surtling cores. So, I picked up the copper ore and ran back to my main base.
Built the smelter. Made the six copper. Whew … Used a LOT of overcooked meat to make the coal to run the smelter. It burns FAST! So, now, before defeating Eikthyr, I have not only a smelter but a forge too!
Only problem now is, "How do I get a different troll to bust up tin for me?" Tin doesn't show up in big rock mounds like copper. I might only be able to make copper until I actually get the pickaxe. It's nice to have the forge and the smelter now, though. Kinda proud!
