I recently saw a neat video where a camera, mounted to the side of a car, was centered on the front wheel well. You could see the city sprawl in front of the car, light reflecting on the car's exterior, and the wheel spinning and turning.
This was a fun sight and I'm imagining cool views World of Tanks could use. The standard camera is located high above the tank, which is good for gameplay, but I'd like some more "artistic" options as well.
I think a Commander's-Eye-View, where the camera is located just above the commander's hatch would be a fun option. From that perspective you'd be in the thick of the action and the tanks would feel closer. You'd have the cannon out of the corner of your eye and be able to see the muzzle flash as well as shell impacts. This would be like a close-up, over-the-shoulder perspective.
Another perspective could be the view-hole beside the cannon. This would basically be sniper mode, offset to the side a bit and looking down the gun barrel. I feel like this would be candy for the eyes as you could see light reflect off the cannon, the cannon firing, and shell impacts.
The regular camera mode would be best most of the time but it would be fun to switch to some kind of artistic view during firefights for a bit of eye candy. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts about additional camera angles for WOT?
