EBR 105 Vents vs LNE

I see most CC's and unicums recommend running Vents with the EBR 105 over the LNE, because vents will get you to max view range. But the better vision control setup is with LNE, even without max view range. To me, the marginal benefits to gun handling and reload aren't worth the sacrifice to vision control, but that's where I'm looking for advice. Am I missing something? For those that have tried both, why do you prefer one over the other?

Here's the math on vision control, assuming all tanks have maxed out crews, bond/bounty equipment, and food:

EBR with vents spots other tier X lights at 265m

EBR with LNE spots other tier X lights at 256m (-9m vs Vents)

EBR with vents is spotted by other tier X lights at 299m

EBR with LNE is spotted by other tier X lights at 264m (+34m vs Vents)

In the end, LNE gives you a 22m vision control advantage over Vents, which seems like the better option for scouting setups.
