Grille 15 and GW Panther Replacement Proposal

Pt 1:

As the current Grille 15 is portrayed inaccurately and is considered by many to be an underperforming tier X td, I believe a replacement in the form of the historical Grille 12 would be suitable.

The Grille 12, unlike the Grille 15, existed outside of blueprints and was materialized as a wooden mockup. Today in WoT, it more or less exists as the GW Panther.

Essentially, the GW Panther would be bumped up to tier X, reclassified as a TD, renamed Grille 12, and given the historical K43 128mm it currently lacks. Historically, the turret was supposed to rotate 360° with the shield lowered; this is another feature that would be included.

Notice how the Grille 12’s 128mm is considerably longer than the GW’s 150mm? The historical turret shape also appears to have slightly different angles and may be marginally smaller; this design could also be implemented.

In-game, this vehicle at tier X would function similarly to the Grille 15, but with the 128mm option that many players want. Mobility and camo values would remain similar, but having a 128mm gun and fully-rotatable turret would entail greater flexibility and less penalty for missing shots, which occur far too often for a vehicle with, allegedly, the best accuracy in the game.

Overall, these changes would make for a more competitive, historical td, while the Grille 15 could be relegated as a collector’s vehicle.

Pt 2:

The GW Panther SPG at tier 7 would be replaced by the following vehicle:

Known as the Selbstfahrlafette mit Absetzbarer 15 cm sFH 18 Version 2, this vehicle would perform the same as the GW Panther. Armament would be the sFH 18 150mm stock, and sFH 43 150 mm upgraded, which would, in essence, be identical to that of the existing GW.

While this does appear to have a rotatable turret, gun traverse angles could be retained from the GW so as not to enable any new advantages with this vehicle.

Granted the same mobility is retained, the only noticeable difference seen between this vehicle and the GW would be silhouette. This is negligible, however, considering that both vehicles are artillery, which does not make use of camo as much as other vehicle types.
