Hidden hidden tank statistics

I'm not aware when exactly this was updated as I've been away from the game for a while, but when I recently took a look at the good old tanks.gg, I noticed something strange – certain statistics on tanks were crossed out and replaced with different statistics, and when I hover my mouse over it, it says: "This tank uses different hidden stats that override the normal values". Essentially "hidden-hidden" statistics. I can only find one previous post on this sub regarding this issue, and nobody seemed to think it was a big deal at all. I find it absurd that the same community that complains about arty, premiums and gold ammo on a daily basis, and especially one that equates nerfing premiums to outright theft (all justifiably so) would just give this a pass.

I hope we can all agree that this is complete and utter bullshit. My own example the Cent 5/1 having worse terrain resistances than was advertised when I originally bought it, is only one example among others – HWK 30, FV4202, P. Victoria to name a few. Some may be quick to point out that other premiums have improved hidden statistics, but this does nothing to alleviate the matter. What good is it that for example the EBR FL 10 actually has better terrain resistances?

Aside from this clearly being dubious business practice this just adds to the complete lack of transparency we have regarding tank statistics. IMO terrain resistances themselves are already an unnecessary step since altering pw/wt ratio and traverse speed literally achieves the same effect as well as having the added inconvenience of not being available in-game, but this is taking it to another level.

I'm not really sure what the best course of action here should be for WG, but I'd at least say that those of us with premiums that have worse statistics should at least be compensated in some way or be offered full or partial refunds. After this, I guess the obvious answer would be to just not have these hidden statistics and have them fully displayed in the game client, but for whatever stupid reason WG has decided it's a better idea to have their thumbs up their backsides.
