My account got hacked (solved)

So to begin with, this is not "that" post where I complain that I got hacked and feel sad. I got hacked because I didn't protect my account enough. I didn't set my 2fa on my account while I had my PayPal (further in text PP) connected.

Ffw to last Friday evening where I got a mail saying I gifted 50k gold to another player. Thinking it was a spam mail, I thought nothing really of it. But still I checked my bank balance and saw there was a withdrawal of €165. I freaked out and contacted WG and PP. Where PP responded not their fault, though understandable. WG solved this issue within the 24 hours which I find really amazing.

I see WG get shit on sometimes in this sub and I feel urged to say that they handled this really great. That this happened really scared me and to have solved this matter within the 24h while being in the weekend really give me respect to the company.

Futher; the hackers didn't change my password, and as far I can see didn't do anything to my account. I set up 2fa and changed my password by now, so it won't be happening again (hopefully).

Do with this post what you want, I just wanted to share this with someone or someone in the future where this might happen.
