Wargaming really didn't make this gamemode much more fun to play. After a huge losstreak, I think it's time to start a real discussion.
They changed the Chevron system to an Elo rated one. This seems fine on the surface… but after reaching gold league in the second day and finally having some semblance of team balance, it really falls apart.
The Chevron system was bad. It incentivized doing the best possible score and winning on the side
But this Elo system is also bad. It incentivizes winning… something an individual cannot do on their own. Nobody uses the comms, hardly anyone actually uses the chat and very often you will see stacked meds or ebrs where a single CS-63 would do, leading to heavies being outnumbered 4:6.
Frankly, it would be a fine system in a singleplayer game. But it is a team game, a single person messing up could mean a loss, should everyone on that same team be punished for that mistake?
