I have no fucking idea how to play this game at this time of year. I take up usual positions, and I get yoloed by bad players in their Skoda T-56 or Caliban, and my team are either all camping in the back, or they miss their shots, or watch this happen while drooling on their keyboards.
"Ok, I'll play more passively and defensively". So the next few games I adopt a more safer position from the mid range, some hard cover and some bushes/rubble nearby, I'm arty safe, I take shots of opportunity, I have options to retreat and I can support my team. By the time I shoot three times, the score is 1-13 and its just me and the arty left. I can't commit to a flank because I get yoloed or left for dead by my team, and I can't even camp spawn to farm damage because the game ends in 4 minutes if I'm lucky. There must be some middle ground, but there doesn't seem to be with the proliferation of auto loaders and 40% shitters making these games end so quickly.

What is my play here? Our east flank let an anonymised GIVUP Chieftard drive down the east flank completely untouched, sweat pouring from his gold spamming forehead no doubt. I fell back to play defensively. I knock down 5-6 bushes in K6/K7 on that raised area, and get ready to at least get some damage before the inevitable 0-15 happens, just like the previous 6-7 games where my team has killed a total of 4 tanks. Yes, my teams have killed 4 tanks combined in the previous 6 games.
Our anonymised 45% EBtaRd leaves the middle unspotted, after initially charging middle and spotting a T30 and getting nailed for 800, becomes a TD. This allows a T95 platoon to "rush" down the middle COMPLETELY UNSPOTTED. I spot both of them when they arrive full HP on my doorstep. I use bushes and despite being triple or quadruple bushed, I somehow get spotted and of course they both fucking nail me without even stopping because red team RNG. Then I get shot in the sides and die, doing a grand total of 1k damage while our heavy flank does what they do best, and ignore the minimap and repeated requests for help.
Serious question, apart from giving up for the month, what the fuck do I do here? I have maybe 80% of my games like this and its fucking unbearable. I am a 2200 wn8 recent player, 1800 overall. I'm not completely shit, but I would like to know what I can do, apart from paying for a chieftain full of gold, in order to be competitive?
