So this might be an unpopular opinion, but I think that module and crew damage is kind of meaningless with the 90 second equipment cooldown. Before the consumable cooldown was introduced, you could actually play by damaging modules and crew of enemies for specific purposes, and there is a good chance they will have already used their consumables or will not want to use them yet (shoot the turret of a scout so they lose their commander and can't do their job, permatrack a heavy that you know had to repair their turret, etc). Nowadays having dead crew or damaged modules just takes 90 seconds of hiding behind cover, and then you are completely fine again. It takes away interesting strategies and getting rid of cooldown would also make wheelies less aggressive and thus weaker (I know most people here would love that). Just looking back at old replays it seems like there was more thinking and strategizing to do because everyone had at most two repair kits and usually only one med kit. Anyways I know cooldown has been around for a while, but I'd like to know if anyone has any good reasons to disagree with me on this.
