Vipera – is it really worth it?

Sorry, another post about Vipera, but I'd like to approach it from another angle.

I was very excited when I saw Italian tanks, because their style reminds me of M1 Abrams – and I do think that it's intentional – so, I really wanted to get me some Abrams-ish tank into WoT. I was initially targeting Bisonte, but then Italian TDs got announced and I was excited to get Italian premium TD.

So far everybody is screaming OP – and I know that kind of behaviour, I work in game dev – but my personal experience is exactly different. I met shitton of Viperas in randoms, I saw kajzoo's, Dakillzor's and skill4ltu's videos about them and frankly, I don't think it's that amazing or OP.

Why?

• skill4ltu lost/died in every battle of his in his initial impression video
• tank is slow
• in skill's video, smarter people quickly figured out how to pen it (top and bot)
• Vipera is slow and clumsy, armor is strong but seems extremely situational
• gun is meh – bad accuracy, bad pen, 30s reloading

My personal experience against Viperas in battle:

• inflexible due to speed
• easily overrun from the flanks

Honestly, I start to think that WZ TD is much, much better option since it is super-versatile, has very decent gun handling, some armour and speed. I'm wondering if Vipera is some fancy, weird Italian knock-off of TS-5. Any opinions on that?

I'm wondering whether I should buy this tank after all, I really don't like slow tanks with bad accuracy and I feel like after few months people will figure out how to target it's weakpoints like they do on TS-5. Sure, Vipera might murder T6 and T7s, but which premium T8 doesn't?

I feel like tech tree might be much better option to pursue, definitely cheaper.
