Lost a game (nothing unusual). One of the players began blaming the team and claiming that RNG was against us. He did 400 damage. I checked his profile and was surprised to see 70,000 games played, 42% winrate, about 400 damage per game. A fairly below average player. But we have all seen these kinds of players. I was curious why his long term performance was below average and messaged him aftewards and it went something like this (edited for readability):
me (1/4/2023 7:19:54 PM) hey there, i'm curious about something: how are you 42% wins? do you have really bad internet?
them (1/4/2023 7:21:11 PM) 10 year olds like you think it is their great play? really? you think that? thats because you need it to be so it is not it is rigged. your 19 from now on wise up or shut up
me (1/4/2023 7:28:28 PM) i'm genuinely asking… i didn't insult you. my question is: you have played 70k games, but haven't improved much, why is that? bad internet? constant distractions? personal disability? i'm 40 years old by the way.
them (1/4/2023 7:35:42 PM) if your 49 you made it there by shere luck. the questions you ask are insulting, feighning innocence is a joke like i sqqaid if your fort and have no clue you are in real trouble seriously
me (1/4/2023 7:44:19 PM) i'm not trying to insult you, im just curious… im being very sincere
them (1/4/2023 7:53:32 PM) lol you bit on that lol you are strupid troll somewhere else you uneducated sloth
As you can see, the conversation didn't go anywhere. I didn't get a response to the question.
Why do you guys think this game nurtures such terrible conversations? What do you think could be done to make the game more friendly (e.g., remove stats entirely)?
