I played WoT to 10k battles about 6 or 7 years ago. Back then you would have some negative people on the chat but also lots of helpful ones,some fun chat and a fair bit of talk about the map and tactics So I logged back in on a whim recently and have been playing a fair bit this week. My question is what on earth happened to the community? All that seems to happen in the chat is people moaning about tomatoes, ranting and often being really rascist and anti Semitic. Most of the forums are either dead since 2017 or just people criticising WG.
Apart from turning the chat off what are my options for playing with people who aren't dicks and more importantly what has happened to the community? From this Reddit there seem to be plenty of decent people but only the wankers are talking in the team chat. How does WG stop the rot and encourage people to be positive? I played Monster Hunter World and that community was an absolute joy. Really helpful to newcomers, supportive, lots of fun. Same with Elite Dangerous. Is the problem just that WW2 games just tend to attract more Nazis!?
Any ideas how to improve things?
