A thing I’ve just discovered for my fellow noobs who are struggling with quests. Managing time. TLDR at the bottom.

So let's say you're running Customs. Makes sense, as there's a shitload of quests there, but you get killed every time you want to get that golden Zibbo lighter for Skier. Maybe it's bad luck, maybe it's because of that aimbot 7mm scav over by the bus station, whatever, you just can't get it done.

What if I told you that the time you're spending in raid could really impact your success rate? Let me explain.

Customs (for example) has a total raid time of 40 minutes. When you load in, everyone is trying to get their stuff done. That means the Dorms, the crackhouse, and the gas station will be filled to the brim with sweaty, smelly PMCs with level 3 armor and PS 762×39 peashooters (like me).

A raid has about 3 phases:

-Rushing, the most intense phase of the raid. Lasts for about 5 minutes.

-Looting, everyone is doing their stuff, hot zones are active, but not so much. Lasts for about 10 minutes.

-Extracting, PScavs show up, people want to leave, or have already left. Expect dead/dying hot zones and active extract locations. Lasts for the rest of the raid.

From my experience, the first 10-15 minutes are the hardest in every raid. What you want to do is wait until phase 2-3 and then do your stuff. I'm not saying you should sit in a bush like a snail for 15 minutes, you can just loot or do other things and then do what you came here to do. What matters is patience.

This is just a tip coming from a level 13 rat who struggles with quests, but who knows, maybe it's different coming from your experience. In fact, maybe you are the guy rushing to dorms every raid with a fully kitted AKM so that i can't get that goddamn lighter.

TLDR: Patience is key, don't rush unless you absolutely have to. and don't hang around for too long in the same place
