Just reached Level 10 a week ago and I was finding that I had enough money for a couple cases, but not any of the higher tiers. Rather than logically sell things, I looked for best way to store large amounts of items with a combination of rigs and backpacks while working on the cases.
I've created an excel sheet below detailing the storage of each rig/backpack. The far right Overall Storage score is calculated by assigning 33.33 points to the percentile of total storage space, storage efficiency, and the average cost in rubles on the flea market.
Here's my main takeaways:
Backpacks:
- The SFMP and the Oakley are the best for storage, but are limited to only meds or have multiple compartments.
- SFMP could be a good stepping stone towards a Med Crate if you don't have one.
- The Oakley is great for it's cost, but might not fit larger guns well.
- Otherwise, your best option is to use the Blackjack 50. The 6SH118 is bigger, but doesn't warrant the extra 500k. If you have the 500k, use it on a case.
- The SFMP and the Oakley are the best for storage, but are limited to only meds or have multiple compartments.
Rigs:
- The MPPV tops the charts for being a good value for the money, and having the most 1×2 slots available.
- The Belt may be tempting for the large amount of 1×1 spaces, but the MPPV is a better choice due to it's smaller external size. By using the Belt, you're using 4 additional stash slots for a single extra 1×1 space.
- Need 2×2's? Use the LBT-1961A.
- Need 1×3's? Use the the TV-110.
- Armored rigs have the potential to be a great value, but it was difficult to track exactly how much zero'ed out armor costs on average. The Skanda is the one you'll want to look out for if you find it cheap on the Flea market, but I rarely found one for under 100k.
- The MPPV tops the charts for being a good value for the money, and having the most 1×2 slots available.
Need the cheapest space? The Tarzan and T-Bag are the flat out cheapest per slot of any rig/backpack.
Rigs & backpacks should never replace a case for storage if you have the money. You don't need an excel sheet to tell you that cases are crazy space efficient.
