Hi everyone, I don't come regularly on reddit so maybe this has been suggested before. If so I apologize.
This idea comes from 2 observations :
- Wood stacks / Stone piles / Coal piles are really adding a "yes I live here and this is useful in this spot" feeling when decorating a base, but many times it is not practical to have them on the account of their size in the room. It could become so if they had value beyond their look
- While progressing in the game, especially in multi-player and before you get enough Iron to put reinforced chest everywhere and/or while stocking resources for a build, those items rapidly overflow the chest (10 slots)
So I suggest that those structures should be a chest for themselves, like a real stack/pile! Bigger than a normal chest but probably less than a reinforced chest. Like 15 or 18 slots only.
Wood stack: still cost 50 wood to build, but can hoard 18*50=900 wood, not a bad investment. Half more than a normal chest, but you can't put anything else inside. Same with core wood, fine wood, stones & coal. Also please add a Bark wood stack?
I'm not into mistlands yet but same if they are stacks/piles unlocked there.
This could also be applied to coins pile/stack with fewer slots (4 and 12? Don't know, but really nice on a table or a treasure room to TAKE FROM or ADD TO the pile and not just build/delete).
That's what my instincts tell me when I look at those piles. Tell me what you think of it!
Skal! May Odin lend you strength brothers!
TL;DR : piles of XX should be a special kind of chest restricted for XX items
