So I was watching some of the fireside chat videos on the Iron Gate youtube channel and thought of somethings. The devs have said they don’t need to retain us and that Valheim has an ending but this idea could be a nice ending that fits with the story of the game as well as giving players something to do after the game ends. And i know they’ve said that we should just play another game but this idea imo is really nice and would get me to play the game a lot even after the game is fully released.
so basically my thought process was since we are just Einherjar sent to Valheim to defeat Odin’s greatest foes, after we prove ourselves and defeat all of his foes in Valheim what would we do? We would have served our purpose and the game would end but in story would what happen right. So how about Odin comes and talks to us personally after we defeat the last boss and congratulates us. He can give us access to Valhalla for kind of a main player hub where we can just relax and maybe make our personal rooms and just other stuff.
But most importantly from this hub he should give us access to Jotunheim, it could be just one map with a single biome and many giants roaming around that are all boss level enemies. They could drop their own loot that just helps us fight more of them and other stuff like that. Even if there was no purpose to killing giants it would still be fun and something i can definitely see myself doing once the game ends. This also makes sense in story as well since after proving ourselves to be one of Odin’s best warriors we should definitely help Odin in decreasing the Giant army before ragnarok begins.
These are just my thoughts and i would like to know what you all think.
