Low-Level Reserve Raider Strategy

Hey all, I’ll come straight off the boat with this and say I am a newer player but I wanted to share a strategy that works for me as both a PMC and scav (sometimes) when it comes to killing raiders.

Essentially what this strat involves is getting into position on White Castle (main trainyard building) on the roof. There are metal stairs in the back inner part of the building which will lead you up to a balcony and some stacked boxes that lead you to the roof. The loot in WK is usually untouched for me, which is an additional plus.

Once you get on the roof, there is a dead scav on the edge, where you will lay down and get into prone position, slightly behind the dead scav, aiming at the open bunkers to your left.

This is where the PMC/scav and time parts come into play. As a PMC I try to get any rifle that is compatible with a NVG scope, and if possible NVG goggles, then wait for the train to arrive or about to leave. This has in my experience have raiders to spawn either outside the bunker, crest it and hang around the open bunker doors. No face armor = all headshots. I’ve been using an AKMS on semi auto with a zoomed NVG optic. The AI and player scavs that show up afterwards are a nice bonus. Loot and repeat.

This strat varies slightly with scavs since obviously your weapons and loadouts will vary, but it’s the same concept, except you will lose some loot to ai scavs, unless you are willing to kill the scavs which is not preferred due to reputation to decrease considerably. Looting the roof and warehouse have proved useful as I’ve gotten scopes for my weapons multiple times and made the strat work.

Sorry if the post comes across as rambly, and not 100% effective as a tunnel raider strat, but it’s low risk (gun, helmet, and backpack minimum) and high reward (~200-300k if you rat hard enough).

Let me know what you guys think!
