I see a lot of people asking about certain items and what they're used for. Something that helps me on the fly when choosing what to keep/sell/leave behind both in and out of raid is a custom search function that quickly pulls up what it is I'm looking for on the wiki. I can then see all the barters/recipes/quests the item is used for within seconds. This is also invaluable for getting information about quests and other things. Pretty much everything on the wiki at all, actually. All you need to do is type a keyword you set for the search and then the name of the item/quest/etc you want to look up.
Example: I want to know what a Salewa is and what it's used for. I have assigned "eft" as the keyword, so in my address bar I simply type "eft salewa" and the wiki pulls up either the item page itself or a search for an item if it cannot associate what you typed with anything in particular. Most search parameters redirect to the item you need, but in cases of misspelling or incomplete words the search function will bring up a list of anything that contains that combination. In this case, typing "sale" instead will list a few pages such as Big Sale (Quest), Salewa first aid kit, and Sales Night (Quest). You can then obviously look for the one you need from this list.

I use this religiously as someone with 3000 hours. It may only save you a few clicks if you already have bookmarks to the wiki, but if you or someone you know has only just started playing or isn't as familiar with the wiki as the more experienced players are, this is an invaluable tool to help them learn the game better by getting to their query in as few steps as possible.
