I don't know how hard this would be to swing, but I think it would be pretty neat or make for an interesting mechanic.
What if there were some sort of buildable object (like an altar or something) that you could place your metal ore/bar in, then begin matchmaking against someone else looking to do the same.
The two of you would be put in an arena, and duke it out.
After the match, you return to your world. Upon your victory, you go to your altar, and find that your metal bar/ore has a "blessed" status, as a treat from the gods after your epic battle. This blessed status would allow you to teleport the ore/bar as you pleased. Or maybe give it a one time teleport.
As for how to make it fair/balanced and ensure that a silver age player doesnt steam roll a leather armor player? Maybe strip items and give temporary items only found in the arena?
I'm not 100% sure, what do you guys think?
